VueReka, LLC builds websites and social video for independent travel advisors. This page covers vuerekacontent.com: what we collect, why, who else touches it, and what you can ask us to do about it. If anything here is unclear, email [email protected] and ask.

What you send us

Three forms on this site collect information, and all of them are optional. Nothing on the site requires an account.

• The question form on /contact/ collects your name and email, along with whatever else that form is asking at the time, such as which pack you are interested in and your message.
• The newsletter signup in the footer of every page collects your email address, and nothing else.
• The free prompt form on /trip-recap/ collects your email address, and nothing else.

Stored alongside a submission: the page you sent it from, the page that referred you, any campaign tags in the link you followed, such as utm_source, and your browser's user agent string. The question form and the newsletter signup also store the IP address the submission came from. The prompt form stores only the country, not the address.

Newsletter and prompt addresses are kept in separate lists and are not combined. The prompt list also holds a random token that makes your unsubscribe link work without us needing to identify you from the link itself.

What is collected automatically

We use Google Analytics to see which pages are working. It records the usual things: pages viewed, roughly where in the world you are, the kind of device and browser, and how you arrived. We do not use it to identify you by name, and we run no advertising tags.

Our host, Cloudflare, keeps its own request logs as part of serving and protecting the site. That is standard hosting operation rather than something we configure.

Cookies

Analytics is the only thing here that sets cookies. There are no advertising cookies on this site, and advertising storage is switched off for every visitor regardless of where they are.

If you are in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, analytics stays off until you accept it. Every other visitor gets analytics on by default, with a banner offering to decline. Either way the choice is remembered in your browser's local storage under vr-consent, and you can change it at any time with the cookie preferences link at the bottom of any page.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your information.
• We do not share it with anyone for advertising.
• Information you submit through this site is not run through third party lookups or appended to other data sets. What you type is what we have.

Payments

Checkout is not open yet, so this site takes no payment and collects no card details today. When it opens, payments will be handled by Stripe. Card details will go to Stripe directly and will never be sent to us or stored on our systems. We will receive the order information: your name, your email, what you bought, and whether the payment went through. This page will be updated on the day that goes live.

Who else handles your information

We keep the list of companies involved as short as we can. Today it is three.

• Cloudflare hosts the site and stores form submissions.
• Mailgun sends our email, which includes the notification when you contact us, the prompt when you ask for it, and the newsletter once it launches.
• Google provides the analytics described above. Google also serves the fonts this site uses, which means your browser requests them from Google and Google sees your IP address in the process. If you book a call with us, that link goes to Google Calendar and what you enter there is handled by Google.

These companies process information on our behalf so that the site can work. We do not hand your details to anyone else, other than where we are legally required to.

How long we keep it

Form submissions are kept until we remove them. We do not currently delete them on a schedule, and we would rather say that plainly than publish a retention period we do not actually enforce. If you want yours removed, ask and we will remove it.

Your choices

• Every email we send you has an unsubscribe link, and it works immediately.
• The cookie preferences link at the bottom of any page changes your analytics choice.
• Email [email protected] to see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. You do not need to give a reason, and we will not make you create an account to ask.

Some places give you these rights by law. We would rather offer them to everyone than work out who qualifies, so the same request gets the same answer wherever you are.

Where your information is processed

We are based in the United States and the companies above process information there. If you are contacting us from elsewhere, that means what you send is transferred to and handled in the United States.

Children

This site sells to travel advisors and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you think a child has sent us something, email us and we will delete it.

Changes to this page

If what we do changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. We will not make a change quietly and backdate it.
